Gluten-free Sweet and Sour Style Chicken

This recipe is one that is for the basic chicken nuggets or strips that are in traditional sweet and sour chicken. When I was diagnosed with #Celiacs and #gluten-insensitivy I wanted to create a recipe that could be used as a chicken nugget or strip. Before I developed this disease I made sweet and sour chicken at home. I had an intense craving for some type of chicken nuggets and I remembered this recipe. This recipe is easy and great for people with family members with dietary restrictions or just want to try something new.

4 servings


4 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut in either chunks or strips

1 Cup Gluten free Cornstarch

2 Cups of Vegetable Oil

2 Eggs beaten

1 tsp of Salt

In a bowl beat the eggs up.

Next put the chicken in the egg and stir it up until coated with the egg

In a plastic bag pour the corn starch in

Heat oil in a skillet to medium

Add battered chicken, a few pieces at a time, to the hot oil. Fry about 4 minutes or until golden brown and done (remove chicken from oil to test). Drain on paper towels.
