The Reasons to Get up Early

I used to hate getting up early in the morning. I would stay up late the night before and then find myself hitting the snooze button. I did this for years and it made me stressed out and started my days off poorly. This was the first thing I kept seeing in every single self-help article that I saw said that

successful people in business and life get up early. I was already on a mission to improve myself so I started doing it. Here are some of the things I do when I wake up in the morning to get a jump-start on the day.


  1. The first thing that I do is drink a glass of water. I do this because it is so important to be healthy and rehydrate.

  2. Take the time to watch the sunrise. It's one of those simple things that makes you feel grounded and amazed by the beauty.

  3. I personally work a jigsaw puzzle on a tablet while I watch the news. I love the daily jigsaw puzzles and it helps me to wake up a little. I also sip on #Community coffee with chicory. It is awesome and inexpensive.

  4. Eat something. I don't like breakfast and anyone who knows me knows this. I will eat a banana and some peanut butter before I go to the gym.

  5. I check the planner to see if I have any appointments that day.

  6. I take time to think of three things I am grateful each day. It is something that really helps me to appreciate life more.

  7. I go to the gym five days a week. I know what you are thinking and it seems like a lot but I started going in January and this is September. In eight months I have lost thirty pounds from hard work. Exercise and eating healthy. I run, swim, cycle and lift weights. I spend about an hour and half there a day. This energizes me and gets me ready for my day.

  8. I also listen to a lot of motivational speakers in the morning every single day. Hearing someone cheering me on and things that motivate others inspire me. This is the main reason I started this blog is to cheer you on!!!

In order to get up early and do these things I learned to get ready the night before. I stopped using electronics in the bedroom and started reading a book. I also started picking out my clothes for the next day. I have my stuff ready to go to the gym and I have found that when everything is ready and I just have to get up its easier. I also have some #Italian Sweet Cream Coffee-creamer that is amazing.
