Monthly Events in the State You Call Home

I thought I would share a fantastic idea that I had. It all started with going to my hometown to go to The Wooly Worm Festival. This is a small festival held in Beattyville, Kentucky. I was in the very first parade that they had. I played the clarinet in our school's marching band. It was cold and raining as we marched down main street. This festival has grown over the years to a very large event. People come from all over the state. My fiancee and I talked to people and realized the distance they had traveled to attend. There were people from all over the state. We also talked to people I had known my whole life. We had wonderful food and felt a sense of community. Pryor to this we had gone to the local festival where we live in Richmond. It was a wonderful celebration of food and friends. Both of these gave me a sense of community and made me thing about how much we are all united and truly the same. It made me decide to start making a monthly event plan for my readers. As we start the holiday season what better thing is there to do than go to a light show with the family. What about a Christmas concert? I am going to at least one event each month. I will be posting photos as well. I am also going to post a list of the events in the state of Kentucky. Feel free to share them on social media. I post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. I hope that you will try to get out there with your family and enjoy local events in your state. Go to new places and try new things. Studies have shown that being around people is healthy for mental health and can increase overall happiness. So get out and enjoy the Holiday Festivities this year! Tell me your adventures.
